Product Overview

4-channel programmable RF attenuator — 0.5 dB steps

4-channel software-controlled RF attenuator.

The CT-714 is a 4-channel programmable RF attenuator: 0 – 95 dB of attenuation in 0.5 dB steps across all four independently-controlled channels (4 inputs / 4 outputs, 8 SMA connectors total). Software-only control, no front-panel knobs — designed to be driven directly by LANforge scripts, automation pipelines and your CI/CD tooling. Pair it with an RF enclosure to keep the over-the-air path from leaking around the attenuator.

/// Software Features

Control & Automation

  • Per-channel attenuation set over the LANforge API.
  • Native integration with LANforge scripts and the JSON API.
  • Manual control via the LANforge GUI's Attenuator panel.

Typical Use Cases

  • Rate-vs-Range testing — programmatic path-loss sweeps.
  • Roaming and handoff scenarios with scripted attenuation profiles.
  • Repeatable, deterministic RF conditions for regression suites.

/// Hardware Specifications

  • 4 channels, 8 SMA connectors (4 in / 4 out).
  • Attenuation range: 0 – 95 dB in 0.5 dB increments.
  • Software-only control — no manual knobs.
  • Compact form factor; pairs cleanly with the RF chamber lineup.
  • Should be used with an RF enclosure to prevent over-the-air bypass.
